President’s Note to Parents
I have noted a disturbing trend for parents to become inappropriately involved in the matches of their children.
Such conduct has included physical and verbal abuse of spectators and intimidation/bullying of minors.
I do not wish to see parents at any stage walking onto courts uninvited to interfere with the scoring of a match, nor do I condone parents verbally or physically abusing the parent of a player.
The BRTA wish everyone to enjoy tennis in a safe and encouraging environment.
Disrespectful or inappropriate comments or gestures will not be tolerated and if complaints are meritorious they will be referred to Tennis Victoria for adjudication.
