Lorraine Kerr honoured with a Life Membership at Beaumaris Community TC

Bayside Regional Tennis Association would like to extend their congratulations to long time Saturday Junior Records Secretary Lorraine Kerr who was honoured at last night’s Beaumaris Community Centre Tennis Club AGM with a Life Membership.  

Lorraine joined the club in 1969 and has been an active member for 50 years both on and off the court. Lorraine entertained the large assembly with anecdotes gathered across half a century of tennis including an amusing story about the day all the ladies of the club visited Government House for morning tea and subsequent run in with a security guard. Lorraine was clearly proud of the future generation of children coming through and praised the work of the Association in encouraging and nurturing that talent. She takes great joy at junior presentations watching the children celebrate their wins.

Lorraine’s playing days are over but she still enjoys her involvement at both club and Association level and she is an inspiration for others.
