GENERAL INFORMATION
The Wayne Arthurs Cup is for age 10 and under mixed teams representing
metropolitan associations and also country regions. This competition is
held at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club on a Saturday / Sunday each year.
The Bayside-Moorabbin team comprises 2 boys and 2 girls, and they play off
against other districts & regions in this event.

The Cup competition
was held on Saturday / Sunday 7 & 8 April
2018 at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club.
The
Bayside/Moorabbin team did really well to get to the finals, where we
lost to North Eastern 2-4. Koharu won her singles and Koharu and
Dimitri won the mixed doubles.

Congratulations to the
Bayside-Moorabbin team which finished top of their pool, and made it
to the semi-finals before a washout was declared. Bayside-Moorabbin
therefore remain undefeated as the 2016 reigning champs.

The
Competition was held at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club on the 8 & 9
April 2017. Play was from 8.00am – 5.00pm on both days. Two
boys and two girls only are selected to represent Bayside/Moorabbin
District. The format is Boys/Girls Singles and Mixed Doubles Sets.

We are
delighted to advise that Bayside-Moorabbin won the Wayne Arthurs Cup for
the first time ever. A wonderful achievement.
In an
exciting final, Bayside-Moorabbin 4-28 defeated North Eastern JTA
2-26. Central Gippsland 4-31 defeated Eastern Region Tennis 2-24 in
the third and fourth playoff.

Congratulations to the
juniors who represented BRTA in the Wayne Arthurs Cup in 2015. Here is a

The Wayne
Arthurs Cup 10/u mixed teams was held at
Kooyong on Saturday April 11 and Sunday April 12 2015.
Players needed to be 10 years or under on 30.4.2015. Applications
closed on 22 March 2015.
This team was made up of the strongest 2 boys and 2 girls who played off
against other districts & regions in this event.

Congratulations to the Bayside-Moorabbin
team which played in the Wayne Arthurs Cup at Kooyong on 14th &
15th December. The team finished in second place overall, and were
very competitive in the final. It is great that they came in second
against so many teams.

The Bayside / Moorabbin team
was made up from the
strongest 2 boys and 2 girls, and played off against other districts
& regions in this event. Team Players were: Matthew Bosancic, Nick
Ritchie, Sasha Djurovic, Chloe Green (Chloe is the taller girl, Matthew
has the different hat). We came in 7th but a great effort by all.
