Here is the BRTA MDJTA
team for the Frank Sedgman Cup, photographed with Frank Sedgman and
Jayne Hrdlicka (President of Tennis Australia).
Frank was great with
the children, he spent 45 minutes with the team and showed them through
his home and they got to see a lot of memorabilia, trophies and to ask
questions. They also got a signed copy of his autobiography.
His main advice was to
keep your eye on the ball and get your first serve in.

The Frank Sedgman Cup will be held on 28th and 29th July
2018 at the Bairnsdale Tennis Club, Victoria. The competition is
run by Tennis Victoria.
This is an 11 years & under
team competition comprising two girls and two boys representing
Bayside/Moorabbin. Age as at 31 July 2018.

CUP 2017
Congratulations to the Bayside-Moorabbin
team which came runners-up in the competition.
Bayside-Moorabbin
displayed great mental toughness and team spirit (although
fatigued) to come overall runners-up amongst 14 regional districts
and metropolitan associations for the 2017 Frank Sedgman Cup.
The result was
achieved playing in back-to-back finals matches after finishing as
the best second across all pools.
The tournament
was held at the Bendigo
Tennis Association from 29 – 30 July 2017.
